MINISTER FOR FINANCE AND PLANNING COMMISSIONS A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED MARTERNITY WARD

The Minister of Finance and Planning, Hon.Amos Lugolobi has cautioned mothers to desist from delivering children they cannot ably look after saying that it’s the major cause of poverty in the country.

Parents who produce many children they cannot take care off cannot educate them and therefore requested the health workers to encourage the mothers to seek for family planning from health facilities and also ensure that they observe good sanitation at their homes,” said Hon Lugolobi.

He made the remarks yesterday while presiding over the commissioning of a newly constructed maternity ward at the upgraded health facility of Nakatovu HC III in Busaana Sub county.

He asked the public to seek medical care from the facilities that have been set up by the government, especially the pregnant  mothers to deliver from government facilities with enough equipment and trained health staff.

The District Chairperson, urged leaders at all levels to monitor service delivery at health facilities in order to establish the attendance of staff at thefacilities.
