Education Committee Conducting a Field Monitoring Outreach at Bbaale Subcounty in Kayunga District.

In a bid to improve service delivery and boost academic performance, the Education Committee led by Hon Mugaba Ronald held a monitoring visit to 4 schools in Bbaale subcounty.
The schools included Bbaale SSS,Gayaza, Mugongo and Bbaale primary school.
Gayaza primary school had an enrollment of over 600 learners, with 11 teachers. they had no finance committee, inadequate teachers, latrines, desks, no water source and poor boarding facilities.
Mugongo primary school had a total no of 506 learners and 9 teachers. They had challenges with inadequate teachers, desks, staff houses and classrooms. P4 learners study under a mango tree.
Bbaale CU primary school had a total number of 1673 learners with 17 teachers.They had no finance committee, inadequate desks , teachers, staff houses and staff room furniture.
Bbaale SSS had a total number of 358 pupils and 23 teachers.They had challenges with inadequate staff houses, no Library, and land encroachment.
The Committee pledged to support the institutions with desks and teachers and also cautioned the headteachers on the poor performance and absentism in these schools.
The Minister for health and gender hon. Ntege kugumikiriza advised the teachers to be motivated on the little they earn and be mindful about the children since their profession is the key to there future and success.
