CSO Women leaders training under SHED at Kayunga District.

Shed an independent and non partisan NGO that is funded by UN Women conducted a 2 days training of CSO Women leaders in conflict prevention and election preparedness at kayunga District Headquarters.

 

In attendance was Asst RDC, District Education Administrator Shed, cadi team and Doctor William Tayebwa the lead trainer from Makerere University.

 

The training objectives include ;

1. Appraising the difference between conflict, violence and the importance of conflict mapping in leadership.

2. Appreciate some tools that can be used in conflict management.

3. Peaceful conflict resolution

 

A number of conflicts were identified including identity conflict, conflict of governess, and ideological conflict.

 

The main cause of conflict was land grabbing and eviction.
