KAYIIRA JOEL ASSUMES OFFICE OF THE DISTRICT CHAIRPERSON

Kayiira Joel who was the District Vice chairperson received instruments of power which included the office stamp, LG Act cap 243, Finance and Accounting Regulations, the Constitution of the Republic of Uganda , the keys for the office and the official vehicle of the District Chairperson among others.

The technical staff took stoke of the available items in the office which where provided to the Chairperson in the presence of the Internal Auditor Mr. Segonga Abbas who witnessed the function.

KAYUNGA DISTRICT CHAIRPERSON PASSES ON

Kayunga District newly sworn in District Chairperson Mr Ffeffeka Sserubogo Muhammed passed on 16th June 2021in less than a month after being sworn in on 18th May 2021 as the newly elected Chairperson of Kayunga District.

Ffeffeka passed on after being alleged to having committed suicide from his country home at Kyebanja village , Kayunga Sub county in Kayunga District.

On 18h May 2021 it was a bright Tuesday for the newly elected District council members of Kayunga District and 19th May 2021 for the Lower Local Government  council members whereby the district Council members  were all sworn in   at the district headquarters grounds   which was officiated by the Ag.Chief Magistrate of Kayunga magisterial court Worship- Tusiime Sarah.  and for the Lower Local Governments at their sub county headquarters in a function presided over by the Chief Administrative Officer.
