Kayunga District tables UGX 39 billion budget for the Financial Year 2020/2021
The leader of Government business Hon Musisi Charles has today 16th April 2020 tabled Kayunga District council budget for the Financial Year 2020/2021 totaling to UGX 39,662,848,000 to the district council business committee members.
Kayunga district Local Government has established a COVID-19 isolation centre at Namagabi Secondary School where suspected corona virus victims in the district will be quarantined under the management of the district.
By yesterday, 11 suspected contacts from Sokoso village in Galiraya subcounty had been brought to the isolation centre and out of about 30 people under self quarantine, 16 had completed their14 days under self quarantine and were set free after the survailance team had taken blood samples from them.
The District Chairperson Mr Serwanga W. Tom has reminded parish chiefs about their roles as government change agents in the transformation of households from poverty to middle income people.
