DISTRICT LAUNCH OF MEASLES-RUBELLA AND POLIO VACCINATION CAMPAIGN

District Launch of Measles- Rubella and Polio vaccination campaign

Kayunga District leadership has launched the District mass immunization campaign against measles, rubella and polio to prevent the spread of the virus among children. The campaign which is termed as measles-rubella and polio immunization would ensure that children aged 9 months to under 15years are immunized against measles and rubella and then children from o months to 5 years with oral polio vaccine.

LAUNCH OF MENGO ZONAL INDUSTRIAL PARK IN KAYUNGA DISTRICT

Mengo  zonal industrial park for the construction of cottage and value additional industries was launched by the State House Controller Mrs Mrs Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye  in Nazigo subcounty ,Kayunga Distirict   and was attended by the District Chairpersons, Resident District Commissioners, Chief Administrative Officers, Production Officers, Commercial Officers, Environment Officers, Youth leaders from all the eleven districts that make up Mengo zone. (Kayunga, Wakiso, Mukono, Mpigi, Nakasongola, Luwero, Buikwe, Buvuma, Gomba, Butambala & Nakaseke)

EXPANSION AND MAJOR RENOVATION OF KAYUNGA GENERAL HOSPITAL

A site meeting for the Renovation and expansion of Kayunga hospital has taken place at the hospital site. It started with a tour of the projects being worked on like the lagoon, , main administration block, theatre, private wards and staff quarters being renovated & newly constructed.
According to the report from the contractors , completed works was at 84.60% and anticipate to complete the project in February 2020.

Very soon block K1A & K1B will be handed over for use on Oder to pave for the renovation of the OPD and antenatal .
