AIDE Training at the District Headquarters.

Arise Integrated Development Effort (AIDE) held a training of women in land governance at the District Headquarters.

AIDE is a civil society organisation with a vision of having a society in which women are fully empowered.

The training aimed at empowering women with leadership skills and navigation of political system and advocacy.

A number of challenges were identified including: ignorance of the law, illiteracy, eviction and fraud.

District leadership for a community engagement meeting.

Kayunga District leadership launched two road maintenance works in Busaana and kayunga Subcounty in a bid to improve service delivery.

The Roads included a 10.0 KM kiwangula Namukuma Namirembe road at Busaana Subcounty costing 75,000,000= and kyampisi Nakaseeta road 5.0 KM costing 50,000,000 Million shillings.

The scope of works is bush clearing , road widening, grading, compacting, repairs, drainage works among others.

Installation of culvert lines, repair head holes of open culverts will also be handled.

WFP Team for a Community Sensitisation Outreach in Ntimba Parish, Galiraaya Subcounty, kayunga District.

A team from Water For People (WFP) Uganda in partnership with Caritus held a sanitation and hygiene community sensitisation outreach in Ntimba Parish, Galiraaya Subcounty kayunga District.

Water For People project was identified by MoH to manage sanitation and hygiene funds (SHF) aiming at improving universal access to safe sanitation and hygiene in communities, public institutions, schools and health care facilities.

The project was implemented in 7 pilot Districts like Buikwe, Buyende, kabarole, kole, kamuli, luuka and Kayunga.
